About Rafisol

Rafisol started up in 2004 as a family-run business based in Granada, Southern Spain.

Having lived many years in Australia and the Far East, wearing sun protective clothing and hats had become a routine part of family life for us. When we came Spain, we were surprised by the intensity of the sun, equal to any Asian or Aussie summer.

We also discovered that most parents in Spain are aware of the dangers of sun exposure and are anxious about protecting childrens skin, but find the small amount of UV clothing available poorly designed and over-priced.

We searched worldwide and found the best at "Ozone", a small company based in New Zealand. Ozone has been making UV protective clothing for kids for 13 years. Our then 3-year-old-son loved the comfy zip up suits and soon friends and neighbours wanted the same suits and sets for their children too, and so Rafisol began.

All the UV swimwear and hats we sell have a UPF rating of 50+, the highest available, wet or dry.

We're also happy to bring other great products to our customers here in Spain and around the world. Our Sigg thermo mugs and aluminium water bottles have become very popular and sell out at the beginning of each school term!

We have just started selling kids ID wrist bands, to keep parent's contact details easily available on your young child incase he or she becomes lost. Soon to come are organic cotton string bags (perfect for carrying shopping as well as your beach things) and a great innovation called The Beachshadow, a very compact and light weight sun shade which gives 4 squared metres of shade practically anywhere.
